Questions of the oppressed scientist to homeland-oppressor
My interest in literature and poetry was connected with poetry by the great Turkmen poet and thinker Mahdumkuli-Firagi. My poems, written in the form of images of Mahdumkuli in my school years, were even published in regional newspapers.
The editor-in-chief of the regional newspaper «Khorazm Hakikati» (Khorezm truth), poet Egam Rakhim, called me on television in the 1960s as "the youngest poet of Khorezm".
Ironically, I took up science and moved away from literature. However, I wrote something in poetry and prose too. Although they were more primitive, some of them suddenly became bestsellers.
A.Khorazmiy
Below I decided to present one of my recent, primitive poems to you readers. The birth of this poem is connected with the metaphors of former President I. Karimov: “Not what the Motherland did for me, ask yourself what I did for the Motherland. Then ask your homeland what he has done for you».
The following text that resembles a poem is based on:
-On the information of the famous journalist and writer Ruzimbay Khasan, published in the central newspapers of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, “Pride of Khorezm” and “In the footsteps of Al-Khorezmiу”;
-To the information of the famous television journalist Boltaboy Kurbanbaev in the video film that is shown on television "The Hero who went against Politics";
-Also, based on reliable information from the book of Annakuli Nurmammedov - an outstanding British writer and diplomat, laureate of the International Mahdumkuli Prize, and Professor Polvon Kalandarov - an outstanding scientist from Uzbekistan “Akhmad-hoji Khorazmiy - 70 years old”, published in London in 2018, in several languages ;
-And also on the basis of the details in my documentary novels “The fate of a Scientist” and “The history of sad Days”.
Due to the fact that this poetic text briefly highlights the key points of my life and activity, therefore, it also has some autobiographical significance.
The word "Homeland" is used in the figurative sense of the word, and it is advisable to understand it as "Tyrants in the Homeland".
The quality of the rhyme was poor due to the fact that the translation of this text from Uzbek into English focused on the content. Also, in advance, I apologize to dear readers, for stylistic and spelling mistakes, since English is not my native language.
Tell me Homeland, what have you done for us?
The place where I was born saying "Ingak", I said that, you are sacred and my native land,
I pressed this soil to my eye and thanked God infinitely,
I endured difficulties and suffering until I returned to this land,
Well, you, too, tell me Homeland, what have you done for me?
You took everything from my grandfather, that he had, and unjustly shot, saying that you are rich,
You also arrested my father and sent to the Far East, for many years, defaming him as a supporter of Trotsky,
Also oppressed my mother, for having a close relationship with Khorazmiy, considering her dangerous,
Tell me Motherland, if the ancestor asked on the day of judgment, what would you say to them?

I received religious and secular knowledge from religious and secular scholars and perfection,
I received my Sufi knowledge from Hamadani, Kubro, Naqshband and Dzhushan,
For the sake of the saints, tell me, Homeland with faith, what have you done for me?
From dawn to dark, I worked with fatigue, not knowing rest,

My arm broke in the fields and layed unconscious in the hospital for many days,
Look at me Motherland, and tell me, in difficult days what have you done for me?
To preserve the soil of my homeland, I studied for years and became a scientist,
To increase productivity for my people, I became a chemist with difficulties,
For the homeland I wrote non-stop, sang, and became a writer and singer,
Tell me Motherland with faith, what have you done for your patriotic son?
I was not interested in politics and power, my job was work, creativity and science,
I did not pursue a career, the goal of leadership was to serve the people,
I did not think about the accumulation of wealth, my lifestyle and food were simple,
Homeland, why did you ignore the poor and flattery the rich and official?
Because of the interest of my people, I went against corruption and wrote the book “Commissioner” (Vakil),
Because of what I suffered while remaining unemployed and was expelled from Khorezm too,
Due to the purity of the biosphere of his homeland, he has become an enemy to the regime,
Why then did you not set his head, and did not save me, his patriotic son?
I went to the Hajj, hugged the Kaaba and prayed for my homeland, wishing him good luck,
I shed tears at the grave of the Messenger of Allah and prayed for my people for a long time,
When Karimov was chasing the pilgrims, I too remained unemployed and cried bitterly,
Tell me, Motherland, what have you done to protect me, Haji?
When the communists said to build a luxury house for the party, I built a mosque,
Landscaped the cemeteries, and I built tombs for the saints,
For my people, I gave land, built roads, digging wells, brought water,
What did you do as a homeland when atheists humiliated me for them?
I agreed to the fate of God and worked day and night without limits,
I was grateful for this day, read the Quran and prayed with all my heart,
I experienced difficulties, held “Bis-Sabr” firmly and was patient,
Tell me, Homeland, what have you done to live with hope for a better day?
When I wanted to go Homeland, the Foreign Ministry said “thank” us, as it should,
When he repeatedly addressed the President, he said give them more than the Foreign Ministry said,
When I said that giving a bribe is a crime, they said: then die off homesickness,
Tell me, Homeland, is this your reform that your praisers say?
When I wrote Selected Works in more than 20 volumes, you called me a great scientist,
When I wrote dozens of works in prose and poetry, you called me a great writer,
In your press you praised me and said: Praise you “The Pride of Khorezm!”
Tell me Homeland, what did you do when your corruption humiliated me?
If I were a poet, I would write as is said in a proverb: "A friend speaks bitterly,"
The tongues of your poets are tied, therefore they sit as they have bitten a wax,
Your praisers sing praises, scattering saliva from their mouths,
Tell me Homeland honestly, how much did you give them cash in green (dollar)?
When I was over 70, you destroyed my family and broke our lives for bribes,
You told the scandalous “Attack and bite!” You made the children orphans,
Using the mafia and threatening “we'll kill you!” you ignored my request and appeal,
UK-Homeland, tell me, is this your European democratic justice?
Tell me, it’s my fault that I am the descendants of Adam and Oguzkhan,
Or it’s my fault that I am generations of Al-Khorazmiy and Firagi,
Or is it my fault that I am faithful to the scholars and the Sufi,
Hey, Motherland, tell me what is my fault, why you are humiliating me so much?

When Khorazmiy was born clearly heard the sound of Adhan, the name and greatness of God,
At the age of 3, he repeated the Koran many times with his teacher,
At the age of 5, he knew by heart half the God’s words - the Koran,
You Motherland, then why didn't you support him, and say “Mashallah!”?
He, at the age of 4 years, as a teacher, taught people about Islam and made them literate,
On the exam, he memorized all chemistry, and stunned the examiners,
At the age of 30, he received the title of laureate of the Academy of Sciences Prize and surprised scientists,
Tell me Homeland, what have you done for your extraordinarily gifted son?
He received a blessing in uvaysi from Karani, Hamadani, Naqshband and Zhushan,
He in Sufism and tariqah, day and night, performed prayers in difficulty,
In tasavwuf, by his knowledge, he founded the tariqa (path) “Naqshbandiya-Khorazmiy”,
What have you done as a homeland for such a righteous Sufi?
He was able to conquer Asia, Africa and Europe, and he was fluent in 10 languages,
In 5 languages of the world he wrote treatises and books, which became bestsellers,
He composed music to poems, and in many languages sang them on a musical instrument - tar,
Tell me, Motherland, what have you done for the perfection of your son, the conqueror of half the world?
As a strong man, he raised a man on one arm and received applause,
In the medical board, he squeezed the doctor’s hand, broke it and became a student,
He played Nigel Short in chess, and almost took away his champion title,
Well, Motherland, what have you done to develop your son, an athlete?
Was there a scientist who wrote a doctoral dissertation four times in different directions,
Was there a scientist who received recognition as “Khorezm’s Dokuchaev”,
Were anyone other than Zamakhshari and him named as “Pride of Khorezm”,
So, why didn’t you value them, then as Motherland?
He was not afraid when Karimov said: “Arrest or destroy him!”
He was not afraid when the mafia in England gave him a threatening letter “We will kill you!”
He agreed with fate when the doctors said: “the operation on his heart is complicated”,
Tell me, Motherland, did you support your such brave son?
Most of the mahalla and mosques that he built remained in his name,
He wrote many words in different languages, became tips and slogans,
Some of these words, your Karimov stole, and put his name on,
If you are the Motherland, why didn’t you let such a son - a patriot into his home?
Isn't this the hero who went against the politician for you,
Is it not this scientist who made the discovery and invention that are recognized in science,
Didn’t his “Vakil” (Commissioner) become the “Gulag”, and he himself was “Solzhenitsyn”,
If you are a true Motherland, where is your “Solzhenitsyn”?
He argued that the film is not the Andijan and the Chinese method, but the Uzbekistan method, went against Karimov,
He said agricultural technology should be based on soil, fertilizer, climate and science,
He also said that ecology should absolutely outweigh plans, productivity, even the economy,
Oh, illiterate and ignorant Motherland, why didn’t you defend the scientist who told the truth?
Who, as a deputy, argued with the authorities, instilled toxic chemicals in a remote place,
Who, as a scientist, first showed the inconsistency of the leader-Lenin theory,
Who, as a Sufi, refused to enjoy worldly pleasures and for which he was humiliated,
Tell me, Homeland, what have you done for your universal son?
Have you supported Genghis, who said: “Turks unite!”,
Did you support Khorezmiy, who said: “Unite the Khorezm's people!”,
Did you support your Sufi who said: “Sufism is not a religion, but science loves God”,
Tell me, if you are a true homeland, what have you done for them?
Didn’t you know that he was a guest worker abroad for you,
Didn’t you see that when he remained hungry in a foreign country he was picking up garbage,
Didn’t you hear that he gave all the money to you and ate herbs himself,
You shameless Motherland, when you knew about it, did your conscience torment you?
And you heard that in 1995 he gave Chingiz Aitmatov the name “Chingiz Turkiy”,
And you saw, then Chingiz aga hugged him tightly, and said: “Thank you brother”,
And you read what he wrote in the press: “Chingiz Turkiy Prizes should be established”,
Oh, you are Karimov’s homeland, what did you make “Turkestan is our common home”?
The mothers of his children were arrested saying: “Give bribes or sit for 5 years in prison”,
No one heard the complaints of these 10-14 year old disabled children left unattended,
Homeland did not hear the cry of these orphans who cried at the door of different people,
Oh, the bribe taker Motherland, what is a fault of children, is this your motherhood?
You made Khorezmi leave the country, and then called him a traitor,
You left his relatives and children unemployed, terrorized and imprisoned them,
You destroyed his grave, spread fear to people, and ignored his complaints,
Oh, the motherland is a slanderer who remained in history as a “destroyer of the grave," is this your motherhood?
Turkmenbashi (president) said: “Such a scientist is the only one in Uzbekistan, and he is also Turkmen”,
Your yurtbashi (Uzbek president) said: “If there is a distortion in the newspaper, then arrest this journalist,”
-If everything is correct, then rewrite the Khorezmi document as an Uzbek,
If you are not a nationalist, why didn’t you say that the Uzbek, Turkmen, are equal to me as a citizen?
When Turkmenbashi gave the post and invited him to his palace, Khorezmi did not abandon his homeland and did not go,
He said: “Uzbek, Turkmen are all Turks, my homeland is Khorezm,”
He considered the homeland his pride, so he renamed his surname to “Khorezmi”,
As a homeland, why didn’t you appreciate the Khorezmians?
When you left him hungry with a 30 dollar salary, your scientist-professor was a loader in the market,
The Kazakhs also ridiculed your scientist and said: "For 100 dollars, shepherd our sheep",
Turkmenistan also told him: “You didn’t come when you were invited, now be even worse”,
Oh, the shameless Motherland, at least once did you remember your scientist whom you humiliated?
These badawi Arabs also did not appreciate the Prophet (saw) - they found trouble,
For the body of Uvais Karani, rulers of 7 countries argued - they found benefits,
If the Homelands are not appreciated by Khorezmi, God will punish them without doubt,
Oh, Motherland, will not it be as the proverb says: “What you don’t value, the same you will need?”
The world knew that he himself did not eat, generously sacrificed everything that he had to the needy and the sick,
Khorezm, Turkmenistan, Evril Turon in Tashkent received benefit of his generosity,
The 6-year-old Farogat, who suffered from leukemia, also said: “Thank you father for your generosity!”,
Homeland, have you ever done kindness to the magnanimous Khatamtai in his difficult days?
Dr. Smith, who was planning to teach him, became a Muslim, taking a lesson from him,
Atheist Daniel was a Muslim (Ali) and named his son - "Akhmad" in his honour,
Many people who have gone astray due to the teachings of Khorezmi have become on the right path,
Oh, stupid and ungrateful Motherland, when will you also apologize and step on the right path?
The holy Christian said in the Bible Bobby Green, seducing wanted to convert him to a Christian,
He himself, under the teachings of Khorezmi, testified, and accepted Islam as a true religion,
Therefore, the organization of Jehovah's Witnesses in New York fired their missionary,
For God's sake, tell me the Homeland, did you say “Well done!” to such a faithful Muslim?
The poet Salih wrote: “He wrote his books well on the basis of documents, unfortunately they were not published,”
Famous scientist Polvon said: "His labors became famous, but he remained humble",
The writer Annakuli said: “He worked hard all his life, and his entire wealth was knowledge and faith,”
Tell me, Motherland freak, aren't these fair assessments of your son that you didn't give?
He received a lot of knowledge from Abdullah kari, Sergey Ryzhov, Jura Sattarov,
He received the fatwa: “Bon voyage in literature!” from Genghis, Isa, Annakuli and Khaldar,
He was educated in leadership and struggle from Iskandar Dosov, Sapo-fighter and Tulanboy,
Well, Motherland, did you at least respect his teachers?
When he said: “One must be in agreement - God's fate,” his disciples agreed - God's fate,
When he said: “One must be grateful - and for such a day”, believers without delay were grateful for such a day,
When he said: "One must have patience - for the difficulties of life," his followers had patience with the difficulties of life,
When he said: “You need to have hope - for a good day”, you are the Motherland, did you also have hope for a good day?
God in his book said to his slaves: "There is no God but Me, Muhammad is my Messenger",
The Prophet (saw) told his ummah: "Ayat-ul-Kursi is the leader of the verses of the words of Allah,"
Sheikh Khorezmi told his students: “Al-Fatiha is the leader of the Qur'anic surah, the Qur'an is the leader of the books of Allah,”
Ah, you are an unscrupulous homeland, why did you say to your citizens: “Bow to the Pharaohs!”?
Khorezmi’s appeal to scientists and people of the world gave the world a real warning,
What he wrote about scientific mysticism (tasawwuf) woke the ulama and the Sufis,
With his knowledge, Sheikh Khorezmi opened a new path in mysticism (tasawwuf),
Without shame, tell me Homeland, why did you envy him instead of admiration?
If you were the homeland, the Khorezmians would not leave Khorezm,
If you were brave, Beruni wouldn’t stay in Ghazna,
If you were kind, your children would not leave you,
In fairness tell me Homeland, that they mowed your raw barley?
Is it your motherhood that Halima and Gulchehra made them cry,
Is it your paternity, the expulsion of Bukhari from his homeland,
Is it your justice, the persecution of Salihs from their land,
If you have a conscience, then tell the Motherland, have you asked them for your forgiveness?
The Khorezmians with their knowledge made Khorezm great in the world,
The Bukharians made honourable in Islam Bukhara, which is located in the desert,
Yassavians wrote wisdom made Turkestan famous,
For God's sake, tell me, Homeland, what have you done for them?
Those who remained in a foreign land raised the glories to their homeland,
Weeping bitterly for their homeland, it’s they who have suffered all their lives,
They are the ones who really love you and desperately need your soil,
Speak the Motherland, if you humiliate them, then are you punished by God and are you ungrateful?
He created you and us, and our property made you - it’s God,
Territories, animals, plants and all living things - man is their master,
We improved your plants and animals, soil and sky,
Oh well, Motherland, bending your fingers, count what you did for us?
Oh you unbeliever, when God asks you on the day of judgment, what do you say,
Tell me, when will I grab you with your collars on the day of judgment, what do you say,
Saying: “Hell is your place!” and I spit on your face, what do you say,
Tell me, Motherland, you are so shameless, why did you mock and oppress me so much?
Homeland if you are only a lifeless and soulless territory, then my reproaches are not for you,
If the Pharaohs and the "Thief of Laws" are your master, this is not the Homeland for us,
In the territory of the Motherland ignorant, praisers and the crowd are not people,
Answer Khorezmi, who are you Homeland, what have you done for us people?
